FILMS X JENI’S: Bodies Bodies Bodies
This little Indie Gen Z Horror Comedy surprised me with how good it was. It has a lot of energy right from the beginning and keeps you invested the entire time. It utilizes a really smart balance of gravity and humor; the humor heavily based in the melodramatic language and tendencies of Gen Z (so if you haven’t had experience with it, some moments may go slightly under-appreciated). The acting is all incredibly grounded; it never tries to be funny so simply is. It isn’t overly predictable in a way that makes you bored. And perhaps one of the things I appreciated most was that it wasn’t a movie that would keep a person up at night (unless maybe you have friends with murderous tendencies). It allowed me to have the horror movie experience without the aftermath fear.
Would I watch it again? Definitely yes.
Tear level: Dry eyes.
Watch when: you want a horror movie you can laugh at and won’t give you nightmares.
Soundtrack/score: Not one I would listen to in my free time, but incredibly fitting for the movie.

The Jeni’s Pairing
We’re giving her a trio in a waffle cone because cone gives chaos and they went all out. She’s having Watermelon Taffy, Rocket Pop, and Orange Freeze, and with this one it isn’t about what each of these flavors is saying individually, but simply the vibes they’re all giving together. They’re summer. They’re fun. They’re fruity. They’re individuals that are even stronger together. They’re bold and unafraid to make their voices heard…wait were we talking about ice cream or Gen Z???
